Freedom Fest

Where: The Hoover Met

When: June 30th, 9pm

Freedom Fest at the Hoover Met is a fantastic option for celebrating the 4th of July season. The fireworks will start at 9pm and will last for 20 minutes. You may bring your own food, blankets and chairs for set up in the parking lot at the Met.

 

Fire on the Water

Where: Oak Mountain State Park

When: July 3rd, 9pm

For those who love a natural setting, Fire on the Water at Oak Mountain State Park is the perfect choice. The display over the lake provides a picturesque backdrop, reflecting beautifully off the water. The entry gates will close at 7pm so be sure to plan ahead and get into the park early.

While a bit of a drive from Birmingham, The Smith Lake Firework Festival is worth it for the charming small-town celebration. Held at Smith Lake Park, the festival includes live music, food trucks, a water slide, and more. The night ends with a fantastic fireworks display that draws visitors from all around the region.

 

Freedom Celebration

Where: On the Mall in Trussville

When: July 4th, 5pm – 9pm

Trussville’s Freedom Celebration offers a festive atmosphere with live entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. The event culminates in a spectacular fireworks show that lights up the sky over the Trussville Mall.

 

Thunder on the Mountain

Thunder on the Mountain is Birmingham’s most renowned fireworks display, and for a good reason. Fireworks are released at Vulcan Park, but are seen all across the city.

This event features a breathtaking show synchronized to patriotic music. It’s a beloved tradition that offers stunning views of the city skyline illuminated by fireworks. Tune into an iHeart media radio station to listen to the soundtrack – 102.5 The Bull, 103.7 The Q, Magic 96.5, and more.

Some of the suggested areas to best see the show is Homewood, Railroad Park, and UAB.
